Filtration plant for coal tailings and concentrate in Iran

TH is to set up a coal tailings and concentrate filtration plant for Memradco’s coal washing plant in Tabas (Iran). This plant is to feature 2 x 40-plate filter presses for dressing coal and an additional 50-plate filter press for treating coal tailings. It is expected to produce around 35 t/h of concentrate and 25 t/h of tailings.

The project is part of the development of the Tabas coal mines, which are expected to increase Iran's coal mining capacity to 1.3 million tonnes per year.

TH has been working with the Iranian mining industry for some years and has several filtration plants in place for copper and coal concentrates and for treating coal tailings. Customers include MIDHCO, National Iranian Copper Industries and National Iranian Steel Company.
