TH will supply a new filtration plant in Bolivia

LandSilver mining company has selected TH to implement a new filtration plant in Bolivia. The process plant will treat the polymetallic tailings generated at LandSilver´s Porco and Cerro Rico mines. This award reinforces the presence of TH in the region.

TH will design, manufacture, and implement all the filtration equipment, such as an APN-20SL filter press, slurry pump and additional items. The filter press will be equipped with polypropylene plates, 40 filtration chambers, which could be upgrade up to 70, and a filter cloth washing system. Its design is based on mechanical simplicity and robustness to ease equipment´s operation and maintenance. The filter press will also include a filter effluent turbidity monitoring system to detect any detect wear or tears in filter cloths.

To optimise the filtration process, the equipment will incorporate a core-blow system that cleans the feeding manifold at the end of each filtration cycle. The filter press will be fully automatic, thanks to a PLC installed in its central control cabinet, and will be fed by a centrifugal pump.
