On 15-17 October, TH attended the Mining and Minerals Hall event at the FIBES conference centre in Seville.

There has been a significant upturn in activity in the mining industry, which has become an instrument for strategic economic development in Europe as a whole, in Spain and particularly in Andalusia. TH saw this as a good occasion for networking and for sharing experiences and the latest advances in mining.

This is a biennial, international event that specialises in metal mining and is in fact the biggest mining industry event in Europe. It is promoted by the Regional Government of Andalusia, AMINER (the Association of Mining and Metallurgy Research, Extraction, Processing and Service Companies) and FIBES.

The featured sub-events included the Cominroc seminars, open to visitors in general who are interested in industrial rocks and minerals and their applications, workshops, commercial presentations, other seminars, B2B meetings and the chance to visit one of the three main mines operating in the Andalusian province of Huelva: Complejo Metalúrgico Atlantic Copper, Proyecto Riotinto and Minas de Aguas Teñidas.
