CH Hydrosizer

Description

The CH hydrosizer separates solids using a wet method based on the principle of controlled sedimentation depending on the size and/or density of particles.

Hydrosizers are used mainly to obtain specific sands for use in foundries and glass manufacturing industry. The CH hydrosizer separates minerals and fines of two different specific gravities or to remove lightweight contaminants. It offers sharp classification in the range of 100 to 1500 µm.

Their exclusive design ensures high treatment capacity with very low maintenance costs. The automatic discharge regulation system controlled by the bed density ensures consistent classification even when there are fluctuations in the feed specifications.

The CH hydrosizer comes in two configurations, depending on its intended application: sand classification or the separation of fines or light products.

Characteristics

Feeding via hydrocyclone to ensure consistent delivery of product within the hydrosizer body.

Tapered steel plate outer body with struts and top mounted peripheral overflow system. Flanged body lined inside with anti-abrasive rubber in the tapered areas.

Internal water manifold to distribute water evenly over the whole cross section of the sorting area. External distribution pipe with manual regulating valve and analogue flow meter. Removable covers on the water manifold for maintenance purposes.

Anti-abrasive rubber lined feeding and underflow collection tanks. Steel support frame with access to the feeding area via a vertical ladder.

Discharge controlled by a motorised regulating valve commanded by a pressure sensor. Management panel for the hydrosizer control and regulation system with a Human Interface Machine (HMI) screen for parameter integration.

Benefits

    • Versatility in varying the cut-off point during operation.
    • Low maintenance costs.
    • High output.
    • Automatic operation.
    • Longer useful lifetime.
